One Hundred

glittering mangoes and steel avocados,
this world means everything to us. spirals
of words feed like ribbons into the sun.
closed eyes, sepia photographs, heartbeats:
such are the fragments of One Love. a dream:
once pink wisps of cloud, now i'm screaming
out loud, in white boxes, that you i they we
melt like a dripping chocolate ice cream
onto all our loopy sidewalks and ways,
our days melt into the brilliance of a red
sunset behind a bobbing, shy blue ocean.
for eyes to see, ears to hear, mouths to speak,
hands to write, for all the mediums through
which love waves travel, the limits undefined;
We will never know the summit of the cerulean sky.

  1. Mohini, you've presented some beautiful images in words in the last 100 days and I've so enjoyed reading them.
